The present invention relates to a wireless handsfree apparatus based on the recognition of a driver and a control method using the same. The wireless handsfree apparatus comprises: a first communication unit communicating with an electronic control unit of a vehicle to acquire door opening / closing information and sheet weight information from a door sensor and a sheet weight sensor; a second communication unit performing a handsfree connection and communicating call data, with a predetermined mobile communication terminal, using a preset wireless communication scheme; and a control unit sensing whether a driver gets on / off the vehicle using the door opening / closing information and the sheet weight information obtained through the first communication unit, connecting the mobile communication terminal of the driver to a handsfree when the driver gets on the vehicle, and disconnecting the mobile communication terminal from the mobile communication terminal of the driver when the driver gets off the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
