The present invention relates to a method for transforming sperm, which includes a step of treating sperm with digitonin and then introducing foreign DNA into sperm. The present invention further relates to a composition which is used for aiding the transformation of sperm and includes digitonin, and to a kit which is used for transforming sperm and comprises the composition. Digitonin of the present invention is capable of promoting the introduction of foreign DNA into sperm by means of digitonin which is involved in damaging cell membrane of sperm, without reducing production efficiency of the fertilized eggs and also without causing damage on eggs or fertilized eggs, thereby being widely applicable in the effective production of various transgenic animals.
