The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a Sinomenium acutum extract, fractions thereof, a compound separated from the same, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compound as an active compound. Specifically, the composition of the present invention has an effect of inhibiting diffraction and activity of an osteoclast, so as to inhibit bone diseases caused by bone loss, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the diseases.
