The present invention relates to a method for selecting a microalgae strain and a microdevice for selecting a microalgae strain. According to the present invention, the method and the microdevice for selecting the microalgae strain enable selection of microalgae strain having excellent growth rate and photosynthetic ability. Particularly, the microalgae is so small that the microalgae can be observed by a microscope, and thus the selection of the microalgae strain having excellent growth rate and the photosynthetic ability was not easy by the prior art.
