The present invention can reduce computational complexity and perform fast intra prediction mode by early determining encoding mode using block vector difference (BVD) and coded block flag (CBF) values when a video encoder determines inter block prediction mode. A method for determining fast intra coding mode for screen contents coding comprises the steps of: determining a block prediction mode inside a screen; and early determining an encoding mode by using BVD and CBF values.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
