The present invention relates to a device and a method to automate a detection of colon bacilli. More specifically, the present invention comprises: a volumetric pump collecting a water sample; a badge storage box storing a plurality of badge boxes, and supplying the badge boxes to a sample injection chamber on a bottom; the sample injection chamber supplying the badge boxes to an incubator by injecting and mixing the sample, supplied from the volumetric pump, into the badge boxes supplied from the badge storage box; and the incubator incubating the badge boxes, detecting colon bacilli, and then discarding the boxes.
