The present invention provides an electronic device for managing a battery to reduce battery damage at the time of charging in the electronic device, and a method for managing a battery in the electronic device. The electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: the battery; and a processor which controls the battery to be charged at a second charging rate lower than a first charging rate set for the battery in accordance with a battery charging condition.
