A signal generator according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an RF negative resistance circuit including a pair of negative resistance transistors and a first inductor connected to gates of the pair of negative resistance transistors; and a cross-coupled complementary transformer feedback oscillator including one transformer coupled by mutual inductance, a pair of complementary transistors connected to have complementary characteristics, and a pair of feedback transistors. The transformer includes: a primary side coil terminal disposed between the pair of complementary transistors; and a secondary side coil terminal having a common node connected to a power supply. The pair of negative resistance transistors have drains connected to the power supply, the gates connected to the first inductor, and sources connected to intersection points of the primary side coil terminal of the transformer and the pair of complementary transistors. The signal generator according to the present invention can reduce parasitic capacitance generated in a layout by reducing the number of nodes connected to the RF negative resistance circuit which is a main resonance unit.
