According to the embodiments of the present invention, the present invention relates to a method and a device to estimate a location of a pedestrian in virtual reality. The method to estimate a location of the pedestrian walking on a locomotion interface device in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of detecting a stance phase based on a first sensing data; a step of receiving a driving speed information of the locomotion interface device from the locomotion interface device; and a step of estimating a stride of the pedestrian in consideration to a driving speed of the locomotion interface device in the stance phase while estimating the stride of the pedestrian by applying a Kalman filter to a second sensing data.
