The present invention relates to an apparatus for estimating the shape of a steel plate, an apparatus for controlling a cold rolling process, and a method for estimating the shape of a steel plate. The apparatus for estimating the shape of a steel plate comprises: a laser beam output part which outputs a laser beam to a preset position where a steel plate exists; a laser beam sensing part which senses the laser beam outputted from the laser beam output part and reflected from the steel plate; and a shape estimating part which estimates the shape of the steel plate on the basis of the sensed results of the laser beam sensing part.
