The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to transmit a ultra high definition television (UHDTV) broadcasting signal capable of efficiently performing a UHDTV broadcasting service by separating three UHDTV broadcasting services into spare bandwidth of two terrestrial channels and transmitting the separated three UHDTV broadcasting services over the spare bandwidth and making a broadcasting receiver easily synchronize and demodulate broadcasting data separately transmitted over different channels by adding PSI/PSIP information to the UHD broadcasting data transmitted over the channels. The apparatus comprises: an encoding unit to encode UHD broadcasting data with respect to each of different three broadcasting programs; a data processing unit to separate and allocate the encoded three UHD broadcasting data into two channels and additionally process PSI/PSIP information to synchronize the data when demodulating one UHD broadcasting data among the three UHD broadcasting data transmitted over the channels; and a transmission unit to modulate the three UHD broadcasting data allocated to the two channels and transmit the data over the corresponding channels, respectively.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
