The present invention provides a high strength steel for a welding structure with superior heat affected zone (HAZ) toughness for high heat input welding, comprising: 0.03-0.2 wt% of carbon (C); 0.01-0.5 wt% of silicon (Si); 0.4-2.0 wt% of manganese (Mn); 0.005-0.1 wt% of titanium (Ti); 0.06-0.6 wt% of aluminum (Al); 0.003-0.01 wt% nitrogen (N); 0.0005~0.008 wt% of oxygen (O); 0.0003-0.005 wt% of boron (B); 0.01 wt% of phosphorus (P); 0.01 wt% of sulfur; and the remaining consisting of iron (Fe) and inevitable impurities, wherein the element content of Ti, Al, N, S and O satisfies the formulas of 3=Ti/N=10, 5=Ti/O=25, 20=Al/N=160 and 30=Al/O=500.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
