ARAMID COMPOSITE AND HELMET COMPRISING THE SAME

An aramid composite material according to the present invention includes an aramid fabric and a thermoplastic adhesive film laminated on one surface of the aramid fabric, wherein the content of the thermoplastic adhesive film is 10 ~ 20 w%. The thermoplastic adhesive film includes ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer or thermoplastic polyurethane resin. A helmet according to the present invention includes an outer layer in which one to three sheets of aramid prepreg obtained by dipping the aramid fabric into phenolic resin are laminated, an inner layer, and an intermediate layer in which 15 to 20 sheets of the aramid composite material are laminated. Since the aramid composite material according to the present invention includes a thermoplastic adhesive film instead of phenolic resin, the problem of the related art that the aramid composite material is kept during transportation may be solved and the helmet formability is also excellent. In addition the helmet according to the present invention has excellent bulletproof performance and has an excellent light weight property.
