The present invention relates to a variable diameter protector assembly for minimally invasive surgery, which includes: a protective main body having both ends communicating with each other, formed therein with a channel, and retractable, in which the inner diameter of the protective main body is variable; and a plurality of ribs formed on the protective main body, parallel with the channel through the both ends of the protective main body, and disposed parallel to each other with regular intervals, wherein the protective main body and the plurality of ribs are inserted through an opening of a person who undergoes a surgical procedure. Accordingly, the variable diameter protector assembly varies the inner diameter thereof to be applied to various surgical regions, thereby performing a stable and accurate surgical procedure.
