2D/3D SWITCHABLE LENS PANEL AND 2D/3D DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a 2D/3D switchable lens panel capable of switching 2D/3D image display to each other in a glassless manner and a 2D/3D image display device using the panel. The 2D/3D switchable lens panel according to the present invention comprises: a replica mold which is provided with a plurality of concave shaping grooves; a lens array which includes lens units formed in the shaping grooves; and a substrate which is provided with a transversal-electric-field electrode layer on one side, and is attached onto the lens array. The lens unit includes a plurality of liquid crystal capsules, each of which includes a core material including liquid crystal, and a shell material forming an outer wall of the core material, and a lens layer which is provided with the liquid crystal capsules therein. The liquid crystal capsules are formed with an average diameter size of 1/4 or less of the maximum wavelength of visible ray, and are dispersedly disposed at a fill factor within the range of 30% to 70% in the lens layer.
