The present invention relates to a method for recommending a gas station, and more specifically, to a method for recommending a gas station through connection with a payment application, which manages current information on an amount of gas refueled to a vehicle through connection with the payment application, and which guides a user to an optimal gas station by recommending the optical gas station through connection with the payment application when it is determined that refueling is required, and an apparatus using the same. For this purpose, a method for recommending a gas station through connection with a payment application according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: allowing a service device to receive destination information from a terminal; allowing the service device to calculate a required amount of refueled gas using the destination information and vehicle information on the terminal; allowing the service device to compare a residual amount of gas on the terminal with the calculated required amount of refueled gas to determine whether refueling is required; allowing the service device to extract a recommended gas station of gas stations located on a moving path to the destination, using payment-related information on the terminal, when it is determined that refueling is required; and allowing the service device to provide information on the extracted recommended gas station to the terminal.
