The present invention relates to a method for preparing a binder-free catalytic electrode for a direct carbon fuel cell by using nickel foam and graphene aerogel, and a catalytic electrode manufactured by using the same. The method for preparing a binder-free catalytic electrode for a direct carbon fuel cell comprises the steps of: (1) preparing a graphene oxide dispersion; (2) preparing a graphene oxide mixed dispersion including ions of an active metal for an electrode catalyst by adding and mixing a precursor of the active metal to and with the graphene oxide dispersion; (3) preparing nickel foam on which the mixed dispersion is supported by introducing the nickel foam into the mixed dispersion and then agitating and leaving the nickel foam and the mixed dispersion; (4) preparing a nickel foam electrode on which graphene hydrogel, on which the active metal is supported, is deposited by reacting the nickel foam, on which the mixed dispersion is supported, with a reducing agent; and (5) preparing a nickel foam electrode on which graphene aerogel, on which the active metal is supported, is deposited by washing and drying the prepared electrode.
