The present invention relates to a wind directional vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone and a control method thereof and, more specifically, to a VTOL drone which enables the stable take-off thereof by sensing the blowing direction of wind and allowing a head to be rotated in the blowing direction of the wind, and a control method thereof. The VTOL drone, according to the present invention, comprises: a body part; main wing parts which are formed in both sides of the center of the body part; tail wing parts which are formed on the rear surface of the body part; rotary wheel parts which are formed on the bottom surface of the main wing parts; a wind direction sensing part which is formed on the top surface of the body part and senses the direction of wind; lift force generating parts which are formed in the front and rear of the main wing part to generate wind; thrust generating parts which are formed on the rear surface of the tail wing parts to generate wind; and a control part which controls the lift force generating parts on the basis of the wind direction information measured in the wind direction sensing part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
