The present invention relates to a method and a server for mining frequent patterns, capable of updating additional data. The method for mining the frequent patterns includes the steps of: generating a database tree data structure based on data stored in a database; mining higher K frequent patterns based on the database tree data structure when required for primary frequent pattern mining, to generate a frequent pattern tree data structure based on the mined K frequent patterns; determining whether a result of the primary mining is usable, when required for secondary frequent pattern mining; and searching for and providing higher K′ frequent patterns from the frequent pattern tree data structure, when the result of the primary mining is determined to be usable.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
