Provided are a system and a method for an online payment of a vehicle maintenance fee. The system for an online payment of a vehicle maintenance fee can comprise an electronic tag, a client, a server, and a payment system. The electronic tag is mounted on a vehicle to store a condition of the vehicle. The client comprises a reading unit configured to read the condition of the vehicle in the electronic tag, and a transmitting/receiving unit configured to transmit the condition of the vehicle and vehicle information. The server, which is positioned in a vehicle 4S shop, comprises: a receiving unit configured to receive the condition of the vehicle and the vehicle information; a calculating unit configured to calculate vehicle maintenance items and fees corresponding to the vehicle maintenance items based on the received condition of the vehicle; and a feeder configured to transmit the vehicle maintenance items and the corresponding fees to the client.
