The present invention relates to a method for configuring a planar array sensor mounted in an underwater measurement system or the like to detect an underwater sound source and estimate sound source parameters. According to the present invention, the method for configuring a planar array sensor mounted in an underwater measurement system or the like to detect an underwater sound source and estimate sound source parameters is provided to propose optimal sensor interval conditions preventing aliasing from occurring in the configuration of the planar array sensor using only four hydrophones, and to obtain an optimal sensor arrangement by analyzing a beam width and the maximum sidelobe level according to an angle of incidence of a sound signal, with respect to a star arrangement and a round (square) arrangement that are representative types of planar array sensors, using computerized numerical analysis. Further, use of the nethod for configuring a planar array sensor to detect an underwater sound source may enable the optimal sensor arrangement for preventing aliasing from occurring, thereby enabling more accurate measurements and exploration.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
