The present invention relates to a sensor node detection system and a sensor node detection method thereof, and more specifically, to a sensor node detection system based on a wireless sensor network and a sensor node detection method thereof. The method comprises the following steps of: exchanging a unique identifier and an encryption key of a sensor node detection device with a sensor node; setting the sensor node detection device as an authentication apparatus in the sensor node; exchanging the unique identifier and the encryption key of the sensor node detection device between the sensor node and the sensor node detection device; determining whether the unique identifier and the encryption key of the sensor node detection device correspond to the preset authentication device; estimating a location of the sensor node based on wireless signal intensity between the sensor node detection device and the sensor node; and transmitting location information and state information of the sensor node to the sensor node detection device if the sensor node detection device corresponds to the preset authentication device.
