The present invention relates to anticancer compositions comprising cicada peel extract and theanine isolated therefrom. The mica bark extract according to the present invention, the mica bark fraction obtained by fractionation thereof, or the compound obtained by isolation thereof, exhibits excellent cancer cell proliferation inhibitory ability, and thus can be used as a novel anticancer agent derived from natural products.
