The present invention provides an apparatus to calculate a coefficient of geomagnetically induced current and a method thereof. The present invention is capable of providing a method more effective in removing noises generated in a process of processing high-frequency components than a method using a one-minute average value and improving the reliability of the entire system using internationally certified minute-based magnetism data by storing values meeting preset automation execution conditions among induced current data measured in real time into an event list, extracting geomagnetism data corresponding to the stored event list, modeling the extracted geomagnetism data, converting second-based induced current data and second-based modeled geomagnetism data into minute-based data and calculating common correlation coefficient and common induced current based on the converted minute-based magnetism data and induced current data corresponding to the corresponding geomagnetism data.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
