ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY SUPPORT FOR SHELLFISH CULTURE

The present invention relates to a support for shellfish culture, to which seeds of shellfish such as Mytilus galloprovincialis or mussel are attached to culture the shellfish. More specifically, the support is manufactured by mixing a plastic material with a filling material which is a natural material comprising barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, charcoal powder, and copper powder; and by performing a molding process. Accordingly, the used amount of plastic is minimized to reduce marine pollution and various environmental pollution during incineration or disposal, and the functions of the support such as a natural texture, underwater submerging ability, hardness, etc. are enhanced. The charcoal powder adsorbs dust or pollutants and minimizes deterioration, and the copper powder prevents the attachment of aquatic organisms due to natural antimicrobial activity, thereby promoting the flow of seawater and underwater oxygen supply to offer an excellent culture environment for the seeds of the shellfish.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
