The present invention relates to compositions and methods capable of effectively inhibiting the differentiation into adipocytes by inhibiting the expression or activity of TET1 (Tet Methylcytosine Dioxygenase 1). The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition capable of effectively preventing, ameliorating or treating obesity by inhibiting the expression or activity of TET1.
