One embodiment of the method for controlling a motor speed for improving the performance of a running resistance evaluation according to the present invention comprises: a step of determining an initiation of the running resistance evaluation in which a control unit determines whether or not a vehicle has an entry condition for a coast-down test; a step of controlling a motor speed in which the control unit controls the input speed (m) of the transmission such that the input speed (m) of the transmission is the same as the output speed (v) of the transmission when the vehicle has the entry condition for the coast-down test; and a step of completing a coast-down test in which the control unit completes the control of the motor speed using the motor speed and the output speed (v) of the transmission.
