The present invention relates to a method of managing metadata in a cloud based digital data safe system. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the method and system which enable users to download digital data saved in a digital data safe whenever they need; and are capable of managing the information about the digital data of the users saved in the digital data safe in a type of metadata in a client of the users not in the digital data safe by encoding and saving the same in the digital data safe.
