Disclosed are a fingerprint segmentation recognition based user authentication device and a method thereof. According to the disclosed specification, the fingerprint segmentation recognition based user authentication device and the method thereof are capable of enhancing security of the fingerprint based user authentication process, by authenticating a first user by receiving only parts of images of fingerprint, not the whole image of the fingerprint of the first user, from a first user terminal, and combining the same with other parts of the image of fingerprint saved in a fingerprint database, when a request of user authentication is received by the first user terminal. The process is performed after saving parts of the images of fingerprint and the whole images of fingerprint of each user in the fingerprint database, not by performing authentication about a certain user through comparison of the image of fingerprint saved in the fingerprint database with the image of fingerprint received, after the image of fingerprint is received by a user′s terminal, after saving the whole image of fingerprint simply in the fingerprint database.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
