The present invention relates to an indirect mooring type ocean observation buoy apparatus which floats on the water surface of an ocean while having various sensors and communication equipment installed thereon in order to measure and transmit data related to an ocean environment. The indirect mooring type ocean observation buoy apparatus includes: a main buoy which is made of a buoyancy body to float on the water surface of the ocean and has various sensors and communication equipment installed thereon to measure and transmit data related to the ocean environment; a metal ballast chain which is installed on the lower part of the main buoy to form a connection part and is formed as a weight to provide a gravity center for the main buoy; an anchor which is fixed to the sea floor to provide a supporting force; a mooring rope which connects the anchor and the ballast chain to restrain the main buoy to the anchor; and a buffer connector which uses another buoy to indirectly connect the mooring rope and the ballast chain in order to buffer the tension of the ballast chain due to the mooring rope and prevent the ballast chain or the mooring rope from being twisted.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
