In order to apply a variable called axial length to the design of personalized progressive additional ophthalmic lenses and monofocal ophthalmic lenses, the present invention uses a formula for calculating the axial length without actually measuring the axial length . The calculation method of the present invention can calculate the axial length with high reliability using only the corneal curvature value and the equivalent refractive index anomaly value. When the calculation formula of the present invention is used, it is possible to design and commercialize a progressive spectacle lens or a monofocal spectacle lens to which an accurate axial length is applied.
