The present invention relates to a novel microcrystalline KNUA032 strain producing fatty acids and a method for producing fatty acids using the same. The microractinium KNUA032 strain of the present invention has an advantage of being able to efficiently produce fatty acids even at low temperatures because of its cold tolerance. Therefore, the fatty acid produced by the strain can be used as a raw material for medicines, foods, and cosmetics.
