The present invention relates to a participants counting device and a participants counting method using the same. According to a first aspect of the present invention, a counting device for counting participants who participate in an event as a meeting that is held comprises: a registration unit which receives event information as information about the event, and registers the event based on the input event information; an event input/output unit which displays at least one of one or more events registered in the registration unit, and receives a selection of the participant with respect to one of the displayed events; a camera unit which photographs the participant; a coupon output unit which outputs a coupon of the event selected by the participant; a calculation unit which counts the number of participants with respect to each of the one or more event on the basis of the input of the participant through the event input/output unit; and a notification unit which notifies the number of participants, counted for each event, to a host of each of the one or more events.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
