The present application relates to a wireless connection apparatus for wirelessly providing internet protocol television (IPTV) service and a method for providing the IPTV service. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the wireless connection apparatus for wirelessly providing the IPTV service includes: a first wireless transmission and reception device connected to a circuit distributor, for converting data packets, which are received from the circuit distributor, into a wireless signal to output the wireless signal; and a second wireless transmission and reception device for configuring an exclusive channel between the first and second wireless transmission and reception devices by using a media access control (MAC) address, and extracting the data packets from the wireless signal received through the exclusive channel to provide the extracted data packets to a set-top box of an IPTV.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
