The method according to claim 1, wherein said liquid oil product contains residual oil product. A method according to claim 1, wherein said metal impurity is present in said liquid petroleum product in an amount that is at least about 0.1 ppm. The method of claim 1, wherein said metal impurity is present in said liquid petroleum product in an amount of up to 200 ppm.
