FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: additional incision is made along a posteromedial shin surface; plantaris tendon is separated and transected. Achilles tendon ends are approximated and sutured together. The plantaris tendon is drawn more than once through the canals formed laterally at proximal and distal ends of the Achilles tendon. That is combined with opening a paratenon of a proximal stump of the Achilles tendon in the proximal direction from a venous anastomosis between great and small saphenous veins keeping them untransected. A formed scar connecting the proximal and distal stumps of the Achilles tendon are mobilised along an anterior surface of the injured Achilles tendon. The scar is dissected away from the proximal stump of the Achilles tendon. A flap is cut out of the proximal stump of the Achilles tendon; the formed flap is brought down, embedded into a vertically incised end of the distal stump of the Achilles tendon and sutured with the tendon. After the ends of the Achilles tendon are approximated, the scar dissected away is anchored to the proximal stump of the Achilles tendon and the formed tendon flap.;EFFECT: method enables to reduce the risk of recurrent ruptures, and the risk of postoperative thromboembolic complications.;1 ex, 4 dwg
