FIELD: veterinary science.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, in particular, to protection of animals' paws against aggressive environmental factors. Preparation for protection of dogs' paws against aggressive environmental factors involves lanolin, triethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol 400, glycerol, salts of lanthanides (lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium) and 1 % aqueous solution of chitosan at the following ratio of components in MP: triethylene glycol - 30.0-90.0; polyethylene glycol 400 - 0-50.0; glycerine - 2.0-15.0; salts of lanthanide (lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium) - 1.0-5.0; 1 % aqueous solution of chitosan - 1.0-5.0; lanolin-0.2-1.0.;EFFECT: obtained preparation is easily absorbed into the upper layers of the epidermis, promotes healing and accelerates regeneration of damages, softens the skin and, localizing in the granular layer of skin, creates an inter-skin barrier which prevents further penetration and propagation of chemically aggressive substances into an animal's body.;1 cl, 3 tbl, 22 ex
