FIELD: ecology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and environmental protection, namely to method of controlling water environment. For this purpose, collected macrophytes and prepared sample for determination of content of heavy metals. As a bio indicator epiphyton micro algae are used. To increase accuracy of method micro algae of epiphyton thoroughly washed off with lichens of macrophytes and filtered using capron filter with diameter not exceeding 100 mqm. Filtered sample is settled, then sediment is quantitatively transferred into porcelain cup and dried at 85 °C. Dry residue is dissolved in nitric acid and evaporated. Content of heavy metals in sample is carried out by nuclear adsorption.
