FIELD: measuring equipment.;SUBSTANCE: proposed technical solution relates to measurement equipment. Technical result is achieved by the method of determining low moisture content of oil product in a dielectric vessel, wherein the probed oil product is scanned with electromagnetic waves, dielectric vessel with oil product is placed in electric field receiving a pair of orthogonally polarized waves their propagation speed is calculated and moisture content W oil product is determined by formula W = (ME⁴-ε_H)/3ε_H, where M=(υ₁λB)²/(υ₁-υ₂)²; υ₁ and υ₂ -speed of propagation of electromagnetic waves, polarized in parallel and perpendicular to the power lines of scanning wave, respectively, λ - length of the electromagnetic wave, B - coefficient depending on properties of the controlled medium, E - electric field intensity, ε_H - dielectric permeability of oil product.;EFFECT: technical result of the proposed technical solution is increased accuracy of measuring of small moisture content.;1 cl, 1 dwg
