FIELD: engines.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling a linear electric motor, used as a drive of a submersible plunger pump for oil production. Method comprises alternate connection of stator windings, ensuring smooth movement of rod and change of direction of rod by changing order of connection of windings. Connection of windings for rod working stroke starts in initial position distant from lower dead point by a value exceeding inertial coasting of rod at its back stroke. Lower dead point is determined by ascending motor current at contact of rod with elastic lower stop. Working stroke of rod is set by number of serial connections of stator windings on basis of working stroke of plunger pump, and is limited by number of serial connections of windings, not reaching to upper dead point, in order to exclude mechanical stop of movable elements of electric motor or plunger pump.;EFFECT: technical result consists in providing maximum efficiency of pump unit at specified power of electric motor, higher reliability.;3 cl
