FIELD: wood-working industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood-working industry, namely to production of wood-fiber materials for producing boards. Wood-fiber material for boards contains a wood fibre and binder. Cellulose-containing raw material is used as a wood fibre, and oxidised tall oil from hardwood or hybrid rocks is used as a binder. Method of making boards from wood-fiber material by forming comprises preparing the composition of the wood fibre and binder, hot pressing and thermal treatment. Heat treatment of wood-fiber material for boards is performed at 165±5 °C for 3-4 hours, oxidised tall oil used as a binder is produced by single-stage heating of tall oil up to temperature of 190±5 °C with continuous air bubbling under pressure of up to 3 kgf/cm2 for 4-5 hours.;EFFECT: higher environmental safety, improved physical and mechanical properties, hydrophobic properties, resistance to environment influence and durability, low cost.;2 cl, 3 tbl
