FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of inorganic materials, particularly to methods of producing nanocrystalline powder of zirconium dioxide, stabilised with additives of rare-earth elements, and can be used for production of catalysts and sorbents, technical ceramics for various purposes (heat-shielding materials, solid electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells and so on). Described is a method of producing zirconium dioxide nanopowder, involving deposition of zirconium hydroxide with addition of rare-earth element, simultaneous drying and calcining of flushed precursor paste in a microwave oven under effect of microwave radiation with fixed frequency of 2,450 MHz, where deposition step is carried out using additive of dysprosium ions in amount of 7-10 mol% Dy2O3, wherein microwave radiation power is 1.5 kW, process time is 3.5 hours at temperature 800 °C.;EFFECT: technical result is obtaining single-phase, nanocrystalline, low-aggregated zirconium dioxide powder with cubic structure.;1 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
