FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to technological methods of liquid-propellant rockets (SPIRITS) fuel flow control system sensors calibrating, i.e. determination of fuel tanks volumes, corresponding to sensors operation reference levels uniformly located in system throughout fuel tanks length. Disclosed is method of SPIRITS calibrating in liquid-propellant rockets fuel tanks, consisting in tanks external surface measurement by means of laser range finders and determining tank volumes values by cross sections corresponding to SPIRITS level sensors position, less tank external circuit volume and inside tank units volumes. Prior to SPIRITS structure mounting it is additionally subjected to calibration in process test chamber equipped with indication tube with inner volume of not more than 3…5 of SPIRITS structure volume in its vertical position by control fluid filling or drain to establish control fluid level practical positions relative to SPIRITS structure connection plane, corresponding to signal pulse moment of occurrence at each of SPIRITS level sensors operation. After calibration in process chamber and drying to remove control fluid residues SPIRITS structure is mounted in fuel tank volume with SPIRITS connection plane matching with fuel tank base plane, which coordinate along tank longitudinal axis in its design is strictly predefined.;EFFECT: method ensures achievement of accuracy indicators comparable and higher in comparison with conventionally used calibration method.;1 cl, 2 dwg
