A method for producing a scattering layer (106) for electromagnetic radiation of a light emitting device (100), said method comprising:• Application of scattering centers (306) on a carrier (102, 302) for the light emitting device (100) or on a on the carrier (102, 302) of the barrier layer (104, which is constructed);• Application of glass particles (312) to the scattering centers (306);• Liquefaction of the glass particles (312), so that a part of the liquefied glass particles (312) in a free volume (308) between the scatter centers (306) to the surface of the carrier (102, 302) flows in such a way that a portion of the liquefied glass particles (312) above the scattering centers (306), and the liquefied glass particles (312) a common interface (406) with the carrier (102, 302) or the barrier layer (104) parts; and• Solidification of the liquefied glass particles (312), so that from these, a glass layer (408) with embedded in the scattering centers (306) is formed.
