A method for increasing the operational safety of thermally loaded functional parts of a disc brake, wherein the temperatures are detected by at least one sensor and transmitted as signals of an evaluation to a target-actual comparison is designed so that controllable functional parts corresponding to the determined deviations from target values be readjusted.
