Disclosed herein are a hot foil multipurpose embossing machine and a hot foil adapter. According to one embodiment, the hot foil adapter comprises an injection-molded body, a metal heating plate formed in the cavity of the shaped body, a heating element, a temperature control system designed to maintain a metal heating plate temperature, and a polycarbonate lid. In another embodiment, the hot foil multipurpose embossing machine is of a platform-and-roll type, wherein the platform provides a flatbed work surface and the roll is moved over it, eliminating the need to insert the folder between plastic mats and insert the mat between the rolls power. According to a further embodiment, the hot plate adapter is formed within a cavity on the platform of the embossing machine with power connection option.
