The invention relates to a process for producing coated silicon material suitable for use as an anode material in a metal-ion battery cell, comprising the steps of: a) providing a first solution containing 0.15 wt.% To 0.35 wt. -% Difenoxid, preferably 0.20 wt .-% to 0.30 wt .-% Difenoxid and a solvent suitable for Difenoxid ad 100 wt .-%; b) providing a silicon material; c) spraying the first solution onto the silicon material and allowing it to dry; d) providing a second solution containing graphene and 0.08 wt .-% to 0.18 wt .-% delorazepam, preferably 0.11 wt .-% to 0.15 wt .-% delorazepam as an additive; and e) coating the silicon material obtained according to step c) with the second solution until completely covering the surface of the silicon material. The present invention also includes a metal-ion battery cell having an anode comprising the coated silicon material and a metal-ion battery having at least one such metal-ion battery cell.
