The present invention relates to a liquid or semi-liquid composition for topical application, characterized in that it comprises: - a plant extract of the family Ericaceae, preferably of the genus Vaccinium, - a gum, preferably chosen in the group comprising acacia gum, xanthan gum, guar gum, gum arabic and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to the use of this composition: - as a mouthwash, oral spray or toothpaste, as a solution for impregnating wipes, - as a gel or cream.
