The present invention relates to a composition in liquid or semi-liquid - liquid for a topical application, is characterized in that it comprises: - a plant extract of the family of ericaceae, preferably of the genus vaccinium, - a gum, preferably chosen from the group comprising acacia gum, xanthan gum, guar gum, gum arabic, and mixtures thereof. The present invention also relates to the use of this composition: - as a mouthwash, spray mouthpiece or toothpaste, as a solution to be impregnated linen, - as a gel or cream.
