Piste caterpillar with hoist and method for analysing wear of a hoist rope

The method involves storing the operation life of winch (2) which is evaluated based on detection related to steering angle of the steering wheel in the cab, tensile forces of the winch cable and angular position of the winch cable by sensors (8-10,13) as detection data. The operating data corresponding to the wear of the hoist cable is determined based on the length of the cable, pitch load of the cable and stored detection data. The determined operation data is provided as retrievable data. An independent claim is included for device for analyzing wear state of hoist cable of winch.
